About
I am a composer, researcher, and performer. I compose what some people would call “contemporary music” or “art music,” and I would put these terms between more quotation marks if doing so weren’t already redundant enough. I am currently looking into new directions for the application of Information Theory to music composition and analysis. I used to play Medieval and contemporary music with wonderful and utterly weird instruments. I used to write occasionally about ethics, vegetarianism, and art in some of my blogs (see "Websites" on the left), but PhD affairs shrunk any available time for that.
I already had been mistaken for a violinist, a vocalist and a grandson.
I played recorder in a metro station in Paris to earn some bucks.
I taught a group of farmers.
I wore a tie three times already.
I served the Army.
I drunk from a canteen full of the stagnant water from a cave hosting some two hundred bats.
I programmed in Assembler.
I did the Camino de Santiago.
I ate raw lamb’s lungs and orange with the skin on the same night.
I worked as an office boy for a week.
I am what I did.
I am what I was.
Varius sis et tamen idem – Be varied, yet always the same.
